Whether guided or on your own - there is plenty to discover in Zingst, even on a short Baltic Sea holiday: Museumshof, Max Hünten Haus, Martha-Mueller-Grählert-Park, harbour, pier, Kurhaus.
The Zingster Kurhaus right next to the pier behind the dune is recommended as one of the first stops during your short holiday on the Baltic Sea. The Kurhaus houses the tourist information centre, the wedding room with a view of the Baltic Sea, a restaurant and event rooms. It is well worth a visit.
The pier is 270 metres long and offers a beautiful view of the Baltic Sea or the beach. Sunsets, for example, can be perfectly photographed from the pier. As the pier is right next to the hotel, you are sure to walk along it more than once during your short Baltic Sea holiday.
The eastern tip of the peninsula can be reached on a well-maintained cycle path and offers a view of unspoilt nature at the end. Tip about the tip: Don't forget to make a detour to the Hohe Düne. The view of the unspoilt beach and the dunes in the core zone of the national park is breathtaking and an ideal Ostee destination during your short holiday.
Both villages are located on the west coast of the peninsula and in the centre of the national park. Darßer Ort is also home to the lighthouse of the same name, from which you have a unique view over the Darß forest and the dune landscape. The western beach is completely unspoilt and is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and is always worth a visit - especially during a short Baltic Sea holiday.
If you are looking for first-class art and culture, Ahrenshoop is well worth a detour. The town has a special atmosphere with its art museum and numerous galleries. Highly recommended for a short trip during your Baltic Sea holiday!
Numerous Bodden cruises depart regularly from Zingst harbour. The boat trips take you to Stralsund and Hiddensee, to Barth or you can watch the evening flight of the cranes from the boat. An experience that you will remember for a long time after your short holiday in the Baltic Sea. Or you can simply sail across the Bodden and enjoy nature.
When the old wooden Zeesboote boats with their reddish-brown sails glide across the Bodden, it is always something special. It is even more special to sail on one of the boats - this is offered in all Bodden harbours, and trips on the "Dorothea" are also possible in Zingst. Ideal for a short holiday on the Baltic Sea.
The Fischland-Darß-Zingst region offers two unique natural spectacles - the deer rut and the crane rest - especially for a short Baltic Sea holiday in autumn. Zingst is a good starting point for both, as numerous observation and photo excursions start from here. At Darßer Ort, you can experience the rutting of the stags against the magnificent backdrop of the Baltic Sea from September to the beginning of October. From the end of September to the end of October, thousands of cranes rest on their flight south at Pramort or on the island of Kirr - almost in Zingst.
